Seven strong motion stations sent by the GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam On May 27 the director of the CRAAG, Alger, Prof. Karim Yelles, asked the GFZ for support with strong motion stations for studying the aftershocks of the Alger earthquake. Seven ALTUS K2 instruments left Potsdam on the same day. The first part of the instruments arrived in the afternoon of May 29, and the secondpart on June 2, 2003. The stations will be installed by the scientists of the CRAAG with assistance of Fethi Semmane (CRAAG, LGIT Grenoble).
